Here in the United States, about 33% of birthers will have a cesarean. That is 1 in 3. Here in Utah, our cesarean rates are much lower at 23.1%. Out of all birthers who have had a cesarean, only 20% will have a VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean).

These are the belly birth stories of just a few of the families I have had the honor to support during their births. These are the faces of women who have had major abdominal surgery to meet their babies. It is no small feat.
